is this update proof?

what chance is there that intneod will release an update for the wii where if i downloaded it, it would brick the wii or cause some sort of problem or other

The modchip is 100% upgradable

so if Nintendo was to try anything this modchip is ready to counteract that.

Its a hardware hack, not a software hack. So blocking it is Almost impossible, they haven't been able to do anything in 2.5 years so far.

You can also turn the drivekey off from its little menu system

great video, man i did everything proper and my backed up game won't work, and even my old games... (very scratched, games) don't work.

i live in canada and i can't seem to set the region it seems theres like a plastic case over the place where you flip the switchis, should i force it off?

Yes, its the most reliable method. You put in the modchip, and just leave it there to do its work :)

@kurbster26 naw apparently 2010 august 9th was when they swapped out the drive boards. they as in nintendo. i actually swapped my board with my friend's. and apparently the chip that was sent to me was also defective. plugged it in to my friend's board disc drive never turned on and i got a solid red light.

@pokemasterelite you might wanna see if your black wii is compatible with drivekey. google wii serial number and enter the serial number of your wii to see if its compatible

@kurbster26 dude does it matter what the dvd drive board looks like cuz ive been trying to install it for 2 hours. I have a black wii default so the boards looks different. I toggled the switch to USA seed those flat cable thingies into the correct ports. everytime i go and test it the disc drive doesnt register any discs. so i just uninstalled the chip and reassembled my wii.
