You don't have to be religious to love the way Turley Richards sings this song.

I first heard it in 1971 on a Warner Bros compilation promo copy. For months I played it for anyone who walked through the door. I still have it. Incredible.

Turley is a great singer, he has a great voice and particularly in this song he shows his powerful blues style

Turley is my ex brother-in-law, and also my godfather. He was married to my sister Adrian. I'm 45 now, and have been listening to his music since I was very little. I still get chills when I hear him sing this song. His range is incredible. I'm a keyboardist now, but he picked out my first guitar when I was 5 years old. :)

Turley not only sings and plays amazingly. He is a truly amazing person. Fortunately he is my sisters Brother In Law or in this case, more appropriately "Brother In Love". I am eternely fortunate to know and Love Turley. Anyone who reads this post "MUST" listen to the entire song to completely appreciate Turley's Love of Jesus and obvious Jesus's Love of Turley by blessing him with so much more than can ever be imagined.

@tvphile Cool- I still have that promo LP also ("Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies"). I remember cutting out a coupon to send off for it (from the inner sleeve of Alice Cooper's "Killer" LP) when I was in seventh grade. That certainly gives away my age! LOL

Turley Richards and vocal range are synonomous, this is a vocal workout for the Ages! This rendition has been available to the mortal man for going on four decades and hear me now and believe me later, it only improves with age! Turley old son, you done GOOD! @dcnutter Yes, the awesome range! I first heard this in the 60s when it was on a Warner Sample Vinyl. I remember sitting there thinking "That's not the same man? It can't be!" To this day, it is one of my favorites, and my hat's off to Turley Richards for bringing "True Love" to the 60s for me.
