@EyesOfTheSouthSTi They are influential to YOU. I'll admit, Megadeth's 1st and 2nd album inspired me. But, Kirk Hammett did start Exodus and Metallica helped Megadeth start. You may not think They are influential but big bands like Trivium, Anthrax, and along with Testament were influenced by Metallica. And Mustaine did right 4 songs off Kill Em' All but whats 4 songs out of 95? I agree there not the best metal band but they inspired a lot of people and started many bands. And got me into metal.

@lildude234 their first four albums are classic no doubt, but they are not the best heavy metal albums written. Also they have trashed themselves and I have a right to as well. I could counter your arguemetn saying Mustaine is more influential then all of Metallica since he wrote 4 songs on Kill Em All and 2 on Ride The Lightning. Als created Megadeth and had an affect on Kery King since he played in Megadeth. Yea sorry renown means nothing. Slayer is more infuential then Metallica.
