Here I attempt to help anyone who is still stuck from 2-3 years ago (haha) on how to get through the beginning of TtFaF from Guitar Hero 3.

The first part of the video is me talking giving advice on easier alternatives on how to get past it as well as explaining how I do it verbally.

The second part is showing you what it looks like on a slower speed.

The third part of the video is showing you what it looks like full speed.

If you want to skip my boring speech, please skip to about the 2:30 mark.

The last part is just a conclusion. Thanks for watching!

Just to add, the parts may be a bit desynced due to youtube, but you got the point, right? Sorry about that.

If all else fails, get a friend or befriend a rubber band.

As a last tip, I did this on Hyper Speed 3. It helps a LOT.

  • This is the reason I hate Guitar Hero, well hate is a strong word, but I think you should at least be able to do it without tapping or rubber-banding or such. I'm sure some people can, but...what about us mortals!?

  • Someone I work with can do it one handed, but pretty much only the top of the top are able to, it's just too fast for the majority.

At any rate, GH3 was known for being charted A. More difficult. B. Worse (way too many three note chords and generally overcharting some songs).

They've gotten a lot better with more recent additions though. The last few GHs have been much easier.

  • Holy shit.

Yeah, when I find the time I will definitely try this. I attempted this a few months ago and then no shit, a couple of days later my Xbox died. =(

  • Hopefully mine won't get the curse and die.

Start small. If you have Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya that's a great song to try out on. Otherwise it'll take some practice.

Fun fact, it took over 15 minutes for me to get the fast part right because I had to hold the controller at an odd angle so the camera would capture the frets correctly.

  • I'll just stick with my rubber band.

I'm "right-hand retarded" when it come to hitting frets...

  • I used to be too, but I was damn determined to tap the "Check This" section of Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya. Also, tapping in GH Metallica is easier since you can miss a note and not have to restrum it, so that helped there as well.

  • you should make some more vids on guitar hero

  • Hey! I didn't know any of that stuff. I feel strangely enlightend. Well, no more complaining then. Rock Band is better at any rate, anyways. Personal opinion folks!

  • Haha omg I never knew, im gonna need a pfo bro.

  • is it odd if i think that is really sexy?

  • Rock Band > Guitar Hero

only exception is the fact that the Guitar Hero 2 Xbox 360 controller, is the best controller of all time

  • Wow... :O Amazing.!

  • Shit Seamus I never knew you did this kinda stuff. Were you ever on ScoreHero?

  • Holy shit

  • so good!!!

  • thanks.GH3 will still and always be the best guitar in the world.but then my sister moved the xbox and BAM perfect circle.FUCK U SISTER

  • @SSoHPKC gh3, imo, is WAY easier than GH Rock the 80's. GH3 may had an abnormally large amount of 3-button chords, but Ghrt80's has a LOT more. Also, GH3 may have a lot of hons and poffs, but Ghrt80s spams them. I'll give you an example as a vid response.
