"H-HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!?" I blinked looking at Robert.
"I-I don't know. I've heard about vampires turning human but I've never seen it happen." Robert observed Marissa carefully. "Everyone needs to get out!" He said.
"No! I'm staying!" I pointed.
"GET OUT!" He yelled angrily which stunned me. The look on Robert's face, I've never seen it before. It scared me. I back out of the door and closed it and looked at the rest of the family.
"Kevin." I looked at him. He nodded and I felt my muscles loosen. I took Junior into my arms and walked into his room.
"Is mommy going to be okay?" Junior blinked letting a tear run down his face. I smiled weakly wiping his tear with my thumb and set him on his useless bed.
"I'm sure mommy is going to be just fine." I said. "Stay here." I stood up and walked out of the room. I knocked on the door queitly and the door opened showing Robert. I gasped as a scent of fresh blood hit my face. Robert quickly shut the door and looked at me concerned.
"I'm fine. I-I just forgot how good her blood smells." I breathed. Robert nodded looking at me.
"How's the baby?" I asked worried.
"The baby is fine. It's just changing like Marissa."
"C-can't I just change her back?" I asked. Robert shook his head.
"No....Not yet at least. It could affect the baby. Let me do some more tests and I'll tell you when." Robert said.
"H-How did this happen?" I blinked the tears away.
"That's what I want to know. What happened when you guys were gone?" Robert asked.
"The needle." I said staring into space, letting the memory flash. "I should have helped her. I shouldn't have obeyed her order." I shook my head.
"What needle?" Robert asked.
"This chick from the Toredor Clan stabbed a needle in Marissa's heart." I swallowed the dry lump in my throat.
"Do you know what was in the needle?" Robert asked.
"The woman said blood." I looked up at Robert.
"OF COURSE!" He said walking into the room. I held my breath when the strong scent hit me again."Nick, I suggest you go hunt with your son. It'll help." Robert said before closing the door.
*Marissa's POV*
"You're skin is cold, Robert," I looked up at him as he injected a needle. I flinched when he pushed it in farther.
"W-what are you doing? What's going on?" I asked but her ignored me. "Robert." I looked up at him. He finally looked at me and frowned.
"Am I going to die?" I asked. He shook his head.
"No. You wont die." He said.
"Then what's going on?Why do I feel so different?" I asked looking at the needle. My eyes widened when I saw a red liquid being sucked into a bag.
"Is that blood?!" I asked. He sighed.
"Yeah, it's blood. Marissa, this isn't easy to say even though it's not that big of a deal but....you're a mortal again."
"What?!" I screamed. I pulled out the needles and stood up.
"Marissa, get back here!" Robert yelled but used no action. He didn't want to hurt me and I knew it. I opened the door and saw the whole family stare at me. I felt tears flood over my cheeks. I saw Nick who looked dead. He was staring into space.
"N-Nick." I blinked. He slowly looked up at me and saw him crying. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. Nick slowly put his arm around me and buried his head into my neck. His cold breath made me shiver. This was so unreal.
"I-I want you." Nick whispered and I felt him lightly press his teeth on my skin.
"Nick." I whispered trying to calm myself down.
"I can't control myself....I want you." He pressed a little deeper giving me the lightest stinging sensation.
"Nick! Stop it! You'll hurt the baby!" Joe pulled him away from me. Nick's eyes were black and I felt scared. I backed away into a wall. I saw Nick's face turn from hunger to guilt.
"I-I'll be in my room." I blinked opening the door and closing it quickly. I locked it but I knew it wouldn't help. After all, I was in a house full of vampires. My Predators.
