September 1968, my first day at the Berklee School of Music, I just finished
my audition with trumpet instructor Herb Pomery. I was walking down the hall and a jamming, they two had just finished their auditions, I can't remember what tune they were playing, but I could not belive the chops on the 18 year old alto sax player.. Later that day I got to met this talented young man, His name was Richie Cole, I new from the very first note that he was destined to become a star. Way to go Richie.
