  • Great Advise. I agree totally. Being what I call a hybrid dj. I beatmix for mobile events. I am a mobile dj with the skills of a club dj. When training other dj's who get excited about learning how to beatmix it's important at the end of the day that they don't get lost in it.

When you train a button pusher to mix they suddenly loose face of what they are doing and obsess over the mix instead if the dancefloor or music selection.

You have to know when to mix and when not too as a mobile dj.

  • You can construct mini sets of top songs in each genre. This would allow you to test the waters to see where the night will lead you.

  • Awesome advise, this will go extremely far. Thank you

  • @SSdraken So true! Also I've NEVER heard a dj at a wedding actually properly blend tracks. They usually just wait till 1 song is finished then quickly play the next. In my opinion this just makes them a human jukebox!!

  • great advice,

    you can go now.

    lol

  • I think for wedings or that kind of gigs it wouldnt be bad to turn with cd's, LOL.

  • thanks j

  • ...and everyone´s looking at you as though your stupid. i pictured that. hahaha..and he sais it really serious .hahaha lol very good advise by the way :D

  • I agree, I normally have a set of tracks going in that either the bride & groom requested, or fit the genre of music they requested, and then mix in guest requests that during the evening, finding the right flow for the night...

  • Hot? Wot about the snot? :P

  • Absolutely LOVE IT! lol
