  • @Ostentatiousnessness Ahahahah well, they would have never even existed because its an alternate time. Everything sort of stayed in the theme of the 50's. I want some Buddy Holly on the radio!

  • THE TRINGU-LINGU-HULA-HAMBOLEH EXPRESS!!! HAHAHAHA

  • It's not racist, it's amazing.

  • Nuka Cola 4ever

  • They have things like the atom bomb...so i think i'll stay where i...om... ------ best line in music PERIOD

  • @MrCorndogEater "The noble savage" stereotype and the fetishization of a rural Sub-saharan African existence together with a joyful and conflict-free life is still problematic, so I wouldn't quite define it as non-racist. It's very well-intended but kinda misguised.

  • People on

  • Is it really so bad that the music succeeding 1940 was destroyed? Yes many timeless classics were wiped out but the horror that is bieber, gaga and all modern pop music perished with them. Personally I am happy to only have these samples of good music in return for all the shit being destroyed

  • @ResistanceAintFutile It's actually sung from the perspective of the "jungle people" and making them out to be the sensible one.

It's actually remarkably non-racist and very anti-establishment for the time! I;m surprised such a smart and great song was released in the 40's, back when times were simpler and people didnt really think this way most of the time

  • @lozza90rox it does call the native africans savages, but other then that its relativly tame
