Do you need A-Ranks for each and every level?

If so, what do you unlock?

Your guide (and video) is great, cheers. I like to try with no help but some of the missions are just frustrating so its cool to have a well trodden route to an A rank.

I keep having problems following this. My 3rd move (scout to SHKTRP Leader always dies as I approach (and I am right on that button to aim, the shocktroops first volley takes me). Also, my 3rd move (lancer to SHKTRP) never does enough to kill. I've leveled up to about 3 on each, and I've maxed gear. What am I missing?
