I've beaten the game many times and done speedruns on a console. Beating the game isn't the point of a TAS. Its doing is super fast, beyond the abilties of someone whose maybe completed the game 3-4 times.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a Barinade fight where they hit themselves against him instead of waiting for the zap. I'm not sure if this saves frames or not, considering you are so far away from him once he gets up that you have to wait a lot longer until you can Boomerang him. Ah well, you probably already considered it.
