This is a compilation of some of the shots I filmed on the Lumix GH1, for the documentary The Battle for North America. This was a film about the 1759 Battle of Quebec presented by Dan Snow.
The Lumix GH1 was a superb second camera. Its great image quality, portability and range of lenses made it an invaluable tool on location.
This compilation has been made from an off-air recording so it's been through multiple recompressions and does not represent the quality of the original footage.
The Battle for North America is a Ballista Media production: www.ballistamedia.co.uk
Music by Jake Parker.

Hi,
Great footage.
I'm lokking to get into the whole digital video shooting. My buget will only take me as far as the Lumix G2 with it's standard 14-42 lens and an additional 20mm Lumix pancake lens. Would I be able to get the same/similar depth of field (that movie look). Also can you recommend an external mic for the G2? Apparently the in built mic pics up the focus motor so one that can be mounted to the hot shoe but moved away from the camera? Does this exist?
Cheers
