@disciprine Yeah this "media outlet" doesn't know what there talking about. When you looking at an lcd the screen is constantly refreshing epaper doesn't refresh until the page changes or something else does on the screen does.

How is there a debate? The first time you pick a e-paper display you will understand the difference for reading. LCDs are good for most things they are already used for, they just lacked at reading. They are inherently unsuitable for it.

To me it boils down to this:
Maximum service and productivity
vs
advancement in battery technology. Air quotes around the word advancement.
Energy will soon be made much more expensive. Tragically.
I have, do, and ever will advocate a hand-crank/dynamo peripheral for energy-efficient tablets such as this, allowing the purchaser to recharge a (preferably) recondition-able battery.
E-ink tech, OLED tech, all-flash memory and charging options should be the standards at present.
