All really big dogs, with the possible exceptions of the Great Dane and Irish Wolfhound, are good for protection. I have a 110 pound Pitbull, that is extremely sweet. Sweet that is, until someone comes to the door.

@Super03terminator caucasian mountain shepard are nice dogs and their origin is in Turkey. In turkey we have also anothar bred called KANGAL. It is better than caucasian mountain shepard believe me you are gonno fall in love :)

@m1shadow the best guard dog is the caucasian mountain shepard. they are bred to be vicious attack dogs. they are the most aggressive dogs on earth.

To people who want to see REAL Presas look up:Tresalida kennels and Redstar kennels.Beautiful dogs,100% purebread.
I got a pup from Tresalida and couldn't be happier,his drive is INSANE.
To all prospective presa owners-these dogs are not for everyone,you must be very experienced and strong,both mentally and physically to control these STRICTLY working dogs.
One last thing that i cant stress enough is that they NEED a job,otherwise they can become frustrated and volatil.
