http://reasonablefaith.org - William Lane Craig did an interview with BBC Coventry and Warwickshire and was asked a question that was incredibly out of left field. For the full interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxDKvqcUADU

  • Why don't you allow comments on Kagan v Craig?

  • @diln5 I don't allow comments in a lot of my videos.

  • @drcraigvideos Why not?

  • @diln5 Brevities sake.

  • @drcraigvideos Because you are a nazi. Nazis are so scared they might be wrong that they don't allow anyone to debate them.

  • @TheRadicalLiberal Don't go all soft on me now, TheRadicalLiberal. I'm going to have to take you seriously, you know.

  • Moral values differ in different cultures and societies because they come from people. collectively groups define their own morals and are judged within the group on said morals.

To exist as a social species the need to create social structure is needed.

    Many species do this.

This is no evidence of god

  • Dr. Craig is a genius, the guy knows exactly what he's talking about, and just destroys any opposition in his way. And the best part is he stays HUMBLE! The guy is certainly to be respected and revered as one of the best Christian apologetic out there!

  • @koreflex Thats kinda the point of the argument. No one argues that morality in some way would not exist without God. The point is that this morality would be subjective and contingent to a certain group/culture. All moralities would be equally good and there would be no way of say objectively that nazism is inferior or superior to tolerance and freedom.

If that is an evidence to God? I don't think so, but I think that objective morality is rather a consequence of God. No God > Relative morality

  • OH NOOO GODS NOT REAL THATS KILL EVERYTHING AND BE NAZIS

  • @nate1454dog I've come to see it as collaborative, as the will of the group helping to define that sort of definition which leads into a subjective argument and not any proof of objective morality. But if its as you say... Is genocide evil? By your standards, obviously your "God" didn't think so when he ordered those massacres in the bible. Such a God that would do such a great act of evil isn't a loving god and then you expect him to be the decider on what is right and wrong, makes me sick.

  • @BionicDance If God exists and he defined the universe then whatever morals he would have for his creation, if he imparted any morals, would very well be obvjective because God decided right from wrong, wrong would not be right and right would not be wrong.

  • @jamesearlcash500 I have seen the debate and certainly disagree with your view re Hitchens v Craig. I will say that Craig opened my eyes that there are rational, thinking, science-using religious people out there and I have posted on atheist forums I frequent that he should be applauded for this. We need more of it!

That said, Hitchens basically opted out of that debate. Craig's assertions had very little merit and Hitchens didn't go after them...he mostly asserted his own points.

  • Aren't all morals socio-relevant? If you live in a conservative christian community you will (most probably) follow christian morals?

  • A brief browse of the old testament will show you that the christian god's morals are as subjective as any other MAN-MADE moral code. Objective moral values just don't exist. Craig knows this; he just keeps flogging the same debunked arguments over and over. Christian apologists go nowhere but around in circles.

  • Sigh, "objective moral". Well, let's give him that. God exists, objective moral exists. Now. Who is to discover, interpret and adopt this objective moral? People; you and me. Bam - subjective moral. Inescapable.

  • @zimmerinhere i agree man, Christopher Hitchens is the best at what he does n my view but i think the debate he had with william lane craig was the only one he lost, athiesm is very week when put up against sound arguments for thiesm, but William is a christian and debated with a Muslim too, if you havent seen the video, then here it is if your interested /watch?v=h51YwIMxtrQ
