Anegelika Kirchschlager as Ariodante and Danielle de Niese as Ginevra sing the duetto "Bramo aver mille vite" in act III of the opera Ariodante from Handel. Les Talens Lyriques, Christophe Rousset. Paris, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, March 2007.
Even though this is a great performance overall, I find their voices a little too alike, chiefly because Kirschlager's voice is ever so feminine. They sound more like Fiordiligi and Dorabella. Actually, more like Despina and Dorabella, rather. De Niese sounds much better here than as her Cleopatra; especiallly her coloratura is really well executed. If only her top notes were more secure and cleanly attacked.
I like them!!
in particular Danielle de Niese sounds great here

Love this! De Niese is on her way! I do wish I could hear the mezzo a bit more. Love dark undertones.
