Does anyone remember this show? For some of us who couldn't watch MTV because we didn't have cable, at least there was "Friday Night Videos"!

Was an avid watcher of this show 'til it got cancelled..................eve­n when it jumped the shark. By that, I mean when they started (around late '85) to have guest hosts. I can remember thinking to myself, "Will you guys just shut up and get on with the video already??" Also, it eventually went from an hour and a half to an hour, which irked me too. C'est la vie, though.

this was how i watched music videos until we got "our MTV" and 'BET on cable in 1985 because they hooked the suburbs up first. It brings back memories when I wanted to watch mainstream videos I watched FNV, Saturday Night I watched New York "Hot Tracks" when I wanted to watch R&B/funk stuff like Cameo, George Clinton etc.. I saw "Art of Noize '"Closer to the Edit" on Hot Tracks and ended the night with 'Night Tracks from 1:00 - 3:00 where they played all types of music vids and oldies.
