  • She gets a present from Tokyo - a kimono - and we have to have Japanese music! Do film makers think we are thick?

  • @kevinastraw we were thick in 1954

  • @kevinastraw actually that's not even a kimono; kimonos aren't just fancy looking silk robes with gibberish characters written on them. so i feel like we shouldn't be too hasty to rule out the fact that you may be more "thick" than you realize.

  • I love trains so maybe I am prejudiced but the cinematography is exceptional with the detailed shots of the trains. It is fascinating and nostalgic seeing the era when trains were a vital part of our nation's transportation. Just a note as to the Japanese mood music. Actually it was only a few notes. I do not understand the sensitivity to it being played. I guess that makes me thick er.

  • glenn and gloria . two all time greats! and excellent support cast. thanks.

  • Tunnel scene reminds me of the saying: I SEE A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, DEAR LORD I HOPE IT'S NOT A TRAIN !
