@JFLD8 Kenneth Branagh was the best Iago, in my opinion. Although much of the dialogue was cut from this adaptation, and there was some scenes that were not in the original play, this is my favorite adaption.

Too bad Othello isn't as legendary as some of Shakespear's other plays. It's my favorite one so far.

The gentleness and concern Iago shows Roderigo just before he stabs him is amazing: he can switch so easily between kindness and viciousness

I believe you are speaking of Ewan McGregor; there is a slight resemblance between him and Kenneth Branagh, but they are most certainly not one and the same.
