  • where is portnoy?

  • He's the one that walks across the stage with the bed sheet.

I'm actually looking for Rain will Fall from this show. It was their last song in the set, and it has a guitar duel between Jag and Petrucci (or at least so I hear). If anyone has it please let me know!

  • So, I remember Edwin telling the story about this song at a small bar in Dallas. He said after the show a woman and man came over to him and told him that she loved to masturbate to this song as her husband/bf had a huge grin and nobbed yes! Classic story I had to share.

  • jane's addiction vs alice in chains

  • sorry what i meant was recorded by the band and not a fan in the crowd i'm still looking help me out if y ou can

This is my fav IME song ever. Do you mean taped by profisionals in that you have or know of another good live version, or do you mean the version taped on earth, sky and everything in between?

  • on tQMD. If you like this IME, however, you should know that tQMD is much, much different. I think a lot of the songs are about very dark and depressing subjects, so they tend to be slower, followed by harder. Every song on every album is worth listening to at least once. For tQMD check out the song Meat Dreams, it gets especially intense around the 5 min mark. Also check out Subterranean Wonderland, which was released by their first label after they left/fired

  • first two albums: "Dig" and "Scenery and Fish" had Edwin on vocals. Dig (1993) Scenery (1996). Edwin leaves the band, starts solo career. IME hires a new singer, Bryan Byrne, the album "Blue Green Orange" (1999) is released, with the first track Love Your Starfish being the most interesting and original song written by them up to this point. 4th and final album is The Quicksilver Meat Dream (2003) which is probably their most talented, and Bryan's singing goes from great on BGO to unbelievable

  • My favirite IME song for sure...studio version from Dig trips me out and this live take was not so bad...at least you got the energy and know they were a great live band in their day...'Like a Girl' live was great...not the same lead singer, or is it? I don't think so but I can't tell...any body have the history?

  • Seen them live, this is my FAVORITE song. enough said.

  • its on here bro i just watched it. just type in i mother earth- rain will fall w/ dream theater

  • Even though the sound wasn't that great, you can still tell this must of sounded amazing. Wish Iwas there.
