  • Wonderful. Vargas is a refreshing new sound but still has that familiar Pavarottiness to him. It's very focused and flexible. Outstanding

  • Kraus'&Vargas' voices are of comparable purity, focus and beauty but quite different tonal colors. AK's silver tones hardly changed throughout his long career. The young RV had some of AK's silvery qualities, but his voice has changed significantly. It is now a robust instrument with a very attractive tonal mix of gold and shades of bronze with some silver for brightness. AK had thrilling high notes while RV has exciting vitality over his entire vocal range, more warmth and expressiveness.

  • @ARReith I wonder what you mean by questionable? I like it very much, but would like to contrast opinions.

  • @reinadegrillos De acuerdo.

  • pitchy

  • fleming sounds good! Her DVD from LA is questionable, but she's accurate in this rendition!

  • Very excellent!
