PhantomAlerts on Android using Augmented Traffic Views - Available now

A detailed look at the support for Proximity Alerts within the innovative Android Augmented Traffic Views application is shown in this video. A real-time radar map (overlaid on traffic cameras close by) combined with Text to Speech and Audio cues provide for a 100% hands-free experience. Proximity Alerts from your favourite speed trap/red light camera database for POIs are supported. This has been tested with phantomalert.com POIs for the Toronto area. Support for areas outside of Toronto is built-in to the application available today in the android marketplace (search for "Augmented Traffic"). The demo is using a HTC Magic running on Rogers. interesting little app, considering I ride a motorbike (got to get a helmet with Bluetooth, though) this might be nice, because cars,. bikes, and intersections don't mix... now... with that radar looking screen, I wonder where the button to launch my sidewinders is... :P
