Anyway, this is a bit silly and I'll laugh at it if I like. If you're offended then it's a bit tough; if you're insecure about your belief then you don't really believe it. Make fun of what I believe all you like, it doesn't matter one iota to me.

Yeah, I guess you have a point. It just seems like people are a little more public about criticizing the LDS faith. Most people would probably be a little put out if you start bashing hare krishnas, but everyone laughs when garments are bashed.

Right or wrong, there's a great deal of criticism and even persecution of Muslims for their dress code, especially for women wearing the hijab. They made it illegal in France for women to wear the Islamic full veil in public. And certainly there was plenty of mocking and scoffing directed at the appearance of Hare Krishnas when they were in every major airport in the country, until they were banned. So you can't really say Mormons are the only ones being criticized for what they wear.

I see that your ignorance abounds in history as well. An extermination order was granted on any & all Mormons in the state of Missouri from 1830s until 1976. That means legally you could kill a Mormon man, woman or child as you could a rodent. The only such order ever to be issued in the US. Mormons suffered the loss of the homes, beaten,tarred & feathered, raped, drive out by mobs, die by exposure,murdered, invaded by the US Army etc. THE NAZIs were less ignorant the you.

No it's ok because the Jewish faith, although (almost) equally as ridiculous that people can still believe in magic in a time where we have man-made mobile labs on another planet, is largely built on tradition and segregation while Mormonism was invented after the steam train and the worst persecution the Mormons have ever suffered was an intern being told to sod off on the bus to town at midday on a Wednesday.
