  • @unacarafea You obviously need to understand English a little better. Asian ETA copy = crap. If you want to lose up to 20 seconds a day, then get a watch with an Asian ETA. Seiko 7S36/26 = good. No manual wind, which isn't such a big problem. Replacement cost for a 7S36/26 around $20.

I have two Seikos (Monster, SKX007) and they are great.

If you look back at the original post, sweeping second hand doesn't = expensive movement. That is all I was trying to clarify.

  • @8AP1 So what you are saying is that they are cheap, nasty, found in fake Rolex watches, can be bought for around $20 AND they are good...... Sold. I'll take a watch with such a great movement.

  • @RebelKnightCSA Like all automatics, asian ETA movements sweep too, but they are rubbish. I know, as I have watches with both real ETA (2824 and 2893) and asian copy ETA. The asian made ones are cheap and nasty and often found in fake Rolexes. 7S26/26 movements can be bought for around $20. They are good IMO, just lack a manual wind.

  • @8AP1 It used to be that you could tell the difference between a real Rolex and a fake just by looking for the sweep second hand. I guess that is why it impresses so many people. Quartz movements tick, not sweep - the only sweep second hand quartz I have seen is the Rolex Oysterquartz.

  • @studisme Do a bit of research buddy. The seiko 7S36 and 26 movments aren't expensive. Sweeping second hand doesn't mean crap.

It's still a nice looking watch though

  • Wow! This watch has a sweeping second hand - From an automatic movement (No Battery) sign of a first class watch!!
