  • This is my absolute number 1 fav Dave Matthews song!

  • It sounds like Dave gave the chorus from Little Thing to the bridge of Dreams Of Our Fathers...and An' Another Thing.

  • Best version of this song is from Luther College with Tim Reynolds. Absolutely love it. Takes me back to a vacation in Miami where at a bar/club on my last night in town I met a girl whose first night working there was that night. She was gorgeous and the coolest girl Id ever met. I got to chill with her for about an hour and it was over. Life, what a grand adventure it is.

  • "I would recognize you in a second...........I only saw you for a moment." Love it.

  • Dave fans, I recently came across this song "People People" by DMB. Its outstanding and I hear its rare. If you havent heard it look it up.

  • One of my first favorite songs of his. I want to find the version where he tells the story of meeting the girl on the street, which recording is that?

  • thanks!

  • @rachel90814

It's on Live at Lutheran College with Tim Reynolds not sure if he ever recorded it on actual studio CD?

  • Ahh, C diminished to B augmented... well played sir

  • LOVE this song.

The music of this song captures my heart every time I listen to it.

There's something about the part of this song where Dave is singing the drawn out syllabus of the song that really touches my heart.

  • @TheLurMan1 I realized that before. The 'Dreams of our Fathers' bridge is the exact same as this chorus. Good obervation.

  • lucky!!

thanks for the update! I'll be on the lookout!

    thank you!
