Jerry Baird grew up on the banks of the Pecos River in West Texas where ranches fed all their hands in cookhouses or off the chuckwagons. His interest in cooking came at an early age by watching the camp cooks muster up grub for the cowboys. Even today, his chuckwagon is an intricate part of the Longtrack Ranch by feeding people on special occasions and the cowboys during spring and fall roundup.

Jerry has won numerous chuckwagon cooking competitions including the National Cabrito Cook-Off and the Superbowl Cook-Off of Champions in Brady, Texas, as well as the National Chuckwagon Cook-Off. Through his years of cooking he created Jerry's All Purpose Seasoning and many other seasonings which are rich, full-bodied seasonings seen on our website. Included with this DVD are four of Jerry's cast iron recipes.
