  • Ubuntu looks almost like mac os 10. hmm unix

  • there are different GUIs for UBUNTU. The one in the video is the GNOME interface. If you try out KUBUNTU, it has a KDE Interface and looks similar to Windows XP.

  • I noticed thar in ubuntu everything is orange.

    Can you change color sceam?

  • yes, this is just a theme. It can be changed to other colours like blue, green etc. You need to access the background settings.

  • wow i cannot wait until i get a cd from my grandma then thats when i will install it W0000T!! i am so excited

  • I hope you dont have to listen to that music, its worse than a keygen :(

  • Linux is awesome for what it is, don't get me wrong. I just don't think I'm "ready" for it, I guess.

  • When I tried to install Ubuntu my comp crashed, so I had to get another one. I imagine it does take time to leaqrn as with anything. I just never had the time.

  • i like ubuntu for the speed and visual customization. i really really really really wish that programmers would start making all software compatible with linux. then i would most definitely get rid of windows for good.

  • @mukatuna You can't get viruses on Linux which is why your money is so safe in the bank. You Tube, Google pretty much all safe websites all run on LInux or BSD. The reason why your money is so safe is because of the way LInux and BSD is written.

  • @Z0mbieKangar00 Most Windows application and games will run on Ubuntu if you use Elimination software like Crossover. Microsoft and Novell have got a partnership so if your willing to pay you can have outstanding Linux/Windows compatibility with Novell's SUSE Enterprise rather then Ubuntu but there are reasons why Ubuntu is so popular, for example Ubuntu is very easy to use once you know how to use a Debian standard system.

  • @acidangelster if you phone your ISP they will install they driver while your on the phone to them. They do it viva the internet.

  • @CaptGage Ubuntu is a Debian standard system so it does take time to learn. A lot of people assume that it going to run just like Windows even know Windows is a different OS. Ubuntu is more advance then Windows & that is fact. Unlike Windows you don't need to install Drivers but you do need to know which manufactures of support Debian/Redhat standard systems. Eg, your safe with HP. Ubuntu 100% safer to use compared to Win because you can't get a virus on Ubuntu because of the way it built

  • That's appreciated, but after using the live CD for a couple weeks, I decided to stick with Windows indefinitely.
