In a lot of MMA matches the fighters wear shoes up to the point where they enter the Octagon. Not so in this case, both women lose the shoes before leaving the locker room and do their walkout barefoot.

My favorite all time MMA fight ever. The best women's MMA fight ever. So much history, this fight started women's MMA, no questions asked. I remember watching this live on The Fight Network. I was so drawn i by it, so amazed. Woman's MMA has progressed so far since this fight.

Why does it take so long to start these bouts? All the announcer needs to say is, "In the white trunks is Gina Carano and in the red and black trunks is Julie Kedzie!" The bell rings and the bout begins. Simple!
