Those pistons are flying!

This was really great! Thank you for your excellent work.
-
Great mastery of the scene, and the capture of the sound of the locomotive, at what appears to be quite a distance from your camera.

A very good job done - - - -I am in Quetta Pakistan, and we had steam engines back in the 70s and 80s it is a real thrill to travel on steam trains, please continue with this type of collections.

It is a living part of the story of USA.

Skip. Your vids are just great. I am jealous that I'm not out there chasing these locos with you. You know, now is the time for us to return to coal fire locos and get away from oil. They were in a renaisance in the 40s. They should return to the rails.

What a fabulous sequence. It seems unbelievable that the reciprocating valve gear and connecting rods can last such punishment for hour after hour.
Those folks travelling on the train wouldn't have the advantage of seeing what we can see on the video.

Please, Absoloutely Post More!!! These are AWSOME!!! With the sad economy issues, and high insurance expenses, it's so great that U.P. is still keeping this program alive! It gives us all hope...That there is a light at the end of the tunnel, all is not lost, and we can find some joy out there in these locomotives. Which continue to prove that U.P.'s employees, and Mgmt. are insuring that, no matter what happens, some things are secure, and like U.P.'s steamers we will survive no matter what!!!
