  • Squirrels do that to mine too! So frustrating. I didn't think of them being thirsty.

  • I learned this tip many years ago. Once I added water to my garden and kept it available year round I have found that animals--including birds leave my produce alone. It was one of those so simple why didn't I think of that moments! Thanks for commenting--Lisa Z

You are absolutely correct. My garden is in the city, or in an urban area and our squirrels are out right rude! They tkae the strawberries and throw the pits all over the place. They also aggravate the heck out of my dog, because they turn up deceased. My old dog is now grumpy and not in the mood, so if he gets a hold of one, I know they've been messing with him. I'm not giving them water either. How does she explain why they try to move into the attick, they're cold?

  • I'm sorry, but this is just plain silly. I see squirrels toting tomatoes up the trees where they live! They DO eat them.

  • Hell I am not furnishing them water or food, its time for a trap or 2...

  • Brilliant, we are about to plant some and we will have to try this.
