Created for a college project, this follows a shuttle's journey from the back of an aircraft to outer space.

Filmed at 15fps.

Photographs are mainly taken by myself (video creator). Additional photographs of shuttle launch site are from http://www.sxc.hu/ which is a royalty free stock photograph site. 3D visuals were generated by myself in 3ds MAX and Adobe After Effects software.
Music tracks were created by Colin Willsher at http://www.2b-media.co.uk/ a royalty free music website.
Sound Effects are royalty free from the sony pictures sound library and from www.freesound.org

  • Nice! And pretty much work I guess. How did you do the heat effect from the exhausts?

  • @HoScaleGeek I created the heat effect in after effects using the Trapcode Particular effects.

  • Awesome, But two things...

    1 When the people were walking down the runway... did i see a face?

    2 And did u use any lighting? Because it was a bit flashy.

  • @legodude12js Hi, yes you did see a face. My course tutor said that to prove that the work was my creation I had to be seen during the project, therefore I am visible for one frame.

    The only lighting I used was the fluorescent lights of the hall and the camera's flash and that explains why it appears "flashy".

  • @Jerome13319 It was shot at 15 frames/photos per second so the end result is pretty good when played at normal speed. I am working on another project using 24 frames per second which should look even smoother!

  • @nerfrulz1 it takes 8 mins to exit the earths atmospher and 13 hours to get to the moon 6 moths to get to mars 17 years to get to jupiter
