  • the picture at 1:16 is of Confederate dead on the Rose Farm...not sure why it's in this clip here

  • @soccercw Rose farm is at Gettysburg is it not?

  • @FeildMusician123 Rose Farm was the site of battle on the second day of Gettysburg, and the Iron Brigade did not fight there.

  • @Crymson1 Indeed, and I've acknowledged that before if you'd read other comments before posting... But the picture is there as a representation of the entire battle, which the Iron Brigade famously had a major part, even though it was on the first day.

  • @soccercw I believe they are Federal Dead, BUT weather they are Federal or Confederate is immaterial. The Iron Brigade was at Gettysburg, and the image is a reflection of that, who they are has nothing to do with the video or its purpose

  • My bad, they were killed on July 2 as there was no fighting near the Rose Farm on July 1.

  • Cheeky response there, but they are indeed Union dead killed on July 1 or 2 at the southern portion of the battlefied (possibly in the Rose Farm vicinity) as denoted by their BLUE sack coats and their missing shoes, which were taken by Confederate scavengers. "Early Photography at Gettysburg" by William Frassanito, plate 104a, page 315-316. Do some more research kiddo.

  • @thomasbrennan3 yea not so much, its confederate dead at the rose farm. william frassanito discovered this almost 40 years ago

  • @soccercw Union dead at Gettysburg.

  • I wish we fought other nations as much as we did each other in the Civil war, great men they were on both sides.

  • @Antihippie24 i like and i'm a reb
