figured i'd change it up a little bit. heres me on guitar, bryan on drums (VSDRUMS), and doug on bass. and if anyone could recommend to me a simple and effective video editing program it would be greatly appreciated. all i have now is windows movie maker which always messes up the sound quality whenever i run anything through it.

anyways this was from about a month ago before the woman down the street called the cops on us. apparently she's not a tool fan.

  • All together, the pick, finger style and slap style are techniques that a good, complete bassist should basically be familiar with, because they provide differences in sound. Some bassists like pick more, some finger style, some use both. So, your opinion kinda says that you're a classic dumb ass.

  • The bassist from tool is a pussy? Then why listen to it?

  • If you sit down to play a Tool song on your acoustic guitar, you'll more than likely find yourself (a) playing a mid-80s Megadeth-style bass line or (b) alternating between two or three tedious barre chords that are right next to each other.

  • you guys are actually decent, guitar need a bit of work though. other then that keep it up

  • @hojima you serious? drumming is but the strumming is out farr as any way guy said hes improved so yea who really cares

  • That was damn good guys!

  • @hojima I'm not insane, and you are the stupid one here.

As to me, this song, all songs, sound better using fingers instead of pick. You may disagree, it's fine. But you cannot say that I have to die because my ideas ar different than yours, moreover you cannot offend me. I didn't attack personally anyone.

  • @Goathem Did it occur to you that it was inane to attack picking on a tool video, where tool's actual bassist uses a pick? Think before you speak, cretin.

  • @hojima First of all, you should totally die.

I was expressing my way to think; you're free to play the way you like.

I hate cheaters, but this doesn't mean I kill them as soon as I meet one. And I think that using a pick to play bass, is cheating.

I was talking about effects, and not speed. I really don't like pick sound on bass strings. That's all.

So, go die somewhere else, go ruin your life wherever you like. And don't bother my ideas.

  • @Goathem The point is to get a sound, playing with a pick gets a different sound. What makes you a good bassist isn't how fast you can play, its how you think about the music, which is totally divorced from whether you use a pick or not.

People like you should really just go die, you ruin music.

  • @saleporc123 Yes, we have humor in canada, I'm just used to douchebag tool fans who would say something like that in earnest. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • @hojima it's a joke,don't you have humor in your country?
