Whenever I try to save the notepad file to the AoE folder, it says I can't save there and to try somewhere else. What do I do?

Look up on Google for " AOE II TC W7 color FIX ", download it and should fix all your problems with the red grass and purple water. :P

I need help - i have installed the game (aok) with my own cd - but then it says i need to incert the right cd before i can play?? any ideas? - i searched for some cd crack to bypass it but my security said it was crapy... hmm ?? help plz.

worked for upto 20 minutes for me, then reverts back to rubbish colours again, any perm fix?

Game screen on my Age of Empires II and Conquerors expansion don't fill the whole screen. This happened after I installed an update for Conquerors and fixed the color problem. I hope that someone could help me. I'm on 32-bit Windows 7. I have the video in Youtube that explains the problem. The video is called "Age of Empires II full screen problem". @ggh434 Why would you need to do this for age of empires 3? AoE3 is fine.

Reverts to bad crappy colours after about 5 minutes of playing because explorer automatically reopens after a certain time. Any help?

@Vaspra54 I've never heard of explore restarting isetlf when you force it closed.
