British accent - Devonshire accents sound like pirates!

READ THIS: Here's my lame attempt to put on a "Ooo arrr" Devonshire accent. There is the stereotypical "Oooo....ahhh" phrase. But there is more to a Devonian accent then that. Devon is in SW England if anyone is wondering. No offence, but some true locals especially farmers sound like pirates. Because if they cannot find their some small insect this will be their sort of response, so read and pronounce it as it has been spelt:

Say "I knaw eez in derrr, coz iz seen him comez owt"! - Ooooooo...arrrrr! - "Now eyes be going owt to milk the cattle and have a lump of beef with cider beside her"!

I was reading one of Bernard Cromwell's wonderful Richard Sharpe novels and he made reference to a character's "Devonian accent" -- something I'd never heard of. Thanks so much for posting this. Fascinating. I'ver heard it in a hundred different movies over the years, but now I can put a name to it.
