Part 2 of the fashion show series. Film maker Franck Onouviet gives you a taste of show day with designer Kimathi of Jamhuri Wear. The charity fashion show was held on April 23rd, 2009 at the Immaculate Riverside Church ballroom in NY city to benefit the Millennium Promise organisation's end poverty program. It was hosted by the African Students Union of The City College of New York.
The idea of the show was the "New Kids on the block"; an introduction of the African hybrid culture and the faces from the next frontier. The arrival of Africa into the world global market - the plane has landed. Jamhuri Wear offered a sneak peak of their upcoming much anticipated Heritage Rich Collection. All great families carry a rich history and a crest.
Thanks to all the models, talent, guests and especially the organizers who worked hard to put this show together to benefit a worthy cause - congrats.
