Lisa Niemi - Patrick Swayze - George de la Pena - One Last Dance [HQ]

The story is about the reunion of 3 dancers who are asked to perform a particular work that, for varying reasons, ended their careers. Lisa Niemi wrote and directed this movie... she is the only director. You are FINALLY able to see the dancing, not just weird fast cuts to keep heads reeling and people's short attention spans. The writing is very good and captures what dancers go through. George de la Pena is still a wonderful dancer and Patrick Swayze is really incredible.

ONE LAST DANCE est le premier film écrit, interprété, réalisé, et coproduit par la danseuse et chorégraphe Lisa Niemi. Elle est accompagnée dans ce pas de trois par son conjoint Patrick Swayze, plus connu du grand public pour ses rôles dans "Dirty Dancing", "Ghost" ou encore "Point Break". Pourtant, ce fils de chorégraphe (la danseuse Patsy Swayze) a travaillé avec les plus prestigieuses écoles de danse des Etats-Unis et se considère avant tout comme un danseur. Les nombreuses scènes chorégraphiées du film montrent en effet l'acteur comme on ne l'a jamais vu, réellement transfiguré dans ce rôle d'interprète d'un ballet contemporain. Pour compléter la troupe, George de la Pena, une grande figure de la danse qui a accepté de participer au tournage.

What a rare man he was. So manly, yet capable of such grace and softness.

I don't doubt for a second that living with him must have been incredibly challenging and frustrating at times, but his death must have left such a massive space in her life. He was so full throttle .. so committed.
