  • Excellent collection. The Russian writers always seemed to have the most honest outlook on society they lived in... you don't get that with many others, certainly not modern writers. Literature the finest art-form, in my opinion... without words, we do not think. Without thought, we do not live.

  • Liked the books, especially Bukowski

  • Perfect statement by Zappa. College is great and all but I have seen many people who have degrees that are not too bright. On the other hand,I know a guy that only went to 10th grade but has an IQ that borders on genius. There are several types of intelligence, steet smarts, book smarts, mathematic wizards, mechanically inclined, artists and musicians all have different types of "smarts". I think reading is definitely the key to learning. It shocks me at how few people actually read these days.

  • I could get lost in your books bro. I have quite a few of those as well. Brando is a fabulous book. I have many classics but am currently reading Phanton Prey by John Sandford a continuation of the Lucas Davenport character. I find Sandford to be the master of suspense, mystery whatever genre you want to label those books. I read "Hearts of Darkness" again a while back..great read. As you probably know "Apocalypse Now"was loosely(very loose)based on the Conrad novel. Well, great stuff buddy. Peace

  • WoW! I LOVE books! I own a few of those myself~ Great collection you have there~ I could get soooo lost in Classic Lit. :D

    Thanks for sharing!
