Ernesto Talag Sensei, or Ernie Sensei as known to his students; was one of the first Filipinos to be promoted in traditional Aikido (Aikikai style) to the rank of Shodan or 1st degree Blackbelt under Sensei Koichi Tohei. In 1983, he was appointed as Chief Instructor of the Ki Society of the Philippines.
In November 1998, due to administrative reasons, he resigned from the Ki Society. He then established the Ki Association International (KIAI) to better share his over 30 years of experience as an aikido instructor, to a growing number of practitioners.
Then on June of 2007, KIAI affiliated with Aikido Yuishinkai, founded by Master Koretoshi Maruyama.

yup,our patch in the dojo.Yes and when we affiliated ourselves with aikdo yuishinkai international,we also even changed our belting system and modified our moves.
