On a particular Saturday night in late October at a particular station in the heart of Tokyo, I found myself standing on the platform waiting for a particular train with a Halloween costume in my bag and a bottle of Jack Daniels in my back pocket. • That's so pathetically ridiculous that I can't even get angry about it.

  • Nope, don't think there is going to be one in 2010 as the cops are going to crack down on it this year and send dicks like RoninDork back to wherever they came from.

If you are coming to Japan just for this event please don't waste your money or time, there are enough troublemaking English teachers here already, thanks.

  • This would not fly in NYC.

  • losers

  • Exterminate whites.

    They are real barbarians.

  • This made some Japanese very angry as it disturb regular passenger who finish long day and on the way to home. I suppose there was no hijacking this year, but by watching these Japanese protester on youtube, I would advise not to do this on public transportation. Do it at party house. Otherwise it creates unnecessary gap between locals and foreign residents here.

  • I totally agree with you, good solution idea.

And may peace be with you, enjoy your trip next year.

  • Well, you got good taste ( absolutely no offense meant ), Roppongi is great.

And about the train, if people want to party in the train and it's not allowed to do the way they want to do it, the police and JR should have done something about it, at least not that I know of. But the best thing for JR to do is to organize a YHT themselves, great publicity and it's gonna be party participants only so nobody gets offended.

And now, let's stop this fighting and be at peace. Enjoy your stay in Japan.

  • The first part of your comment is like RD's, Japanese people participating, they are in the minority mate and are frowned upon by the majority, this is the BIG point that Dave and you fail to understand.

Went to a party last in night in fact, a place called Roppongi which is the party district of Tokyo, not the inside of a fucking train!

See ya next November, but do us all a favour and don't stay too long or you'll end up bald, broke, and living in a box just like Dave.

    Cheers

  • Listen mate, I do not really know what your problem is. Okay, then some people don't like that Halloween train, but if I am not mistaken there where also Japanese people participating.

And I plan to come to Japan, you can count on that. Not just for that event, but for the country, how beautiful it is, the culture and food.

And when was the last time you went to a party and had fun....just curious.

  • The guy dressed like Castro...I think I know that guy....anyone knows if the Yamanote Halloween Train is gonna be there in 2010?
