Always dug the drone on the guitar for this song, then he switches the pitch and ends up on the high note ...

I *LOVED* Cream and Jack Bruce. He's an amazing musician. This version of As you Said should have had a cello like the original version. Moreover, a backup singer like the original would have made it more true.

Jack Bruce was in Woodinville in 2008?
Why didn't I know about this?

Jack is soooo cool. Love this song. Is he one of England's better composers? Maybe.

Being of Scots descent myself, I resonate to Bruce's intense yearning melancholy -

@SupernalOne Could not have said it better myself.

Jack is god! :D

This is fantastic! One of my favorite songs! Thank you for this excellent post!

I have always liked this song's intervals melodic intervals and how the tone center keeps shifting from major to minor.

As big a fan of Jack Bruce the musician as any of you here, I have to say the following: Credit where credit's due: the lyrics for this, as for the most of Jack's best and greatest songs, were written by Pete Brown. Do some research on the man, it will be worth your while, and you may be surprised. Pete is as great and as important a lyricist as Jack is a composer.
Incredible, as always. Jack truly gets better with age; and he really sounds like his old self ;)
