This scene almost made me cry. Poor Faye. She kind of lost herself anyway.

  • When I was a kid my mother died, too young to really remember anything. My father lived away from me and I was cared for by a foster parent. I'd grown up hearing horror stories of the life that she would have given me.

    In highschool I came across an old VHS tape with some scribbles and my name on it. Curiously I took it, and put it in the machine. It was my mother, my father and me. Everyone was happy. I was just a baby.

    I remember having the exact same look as Faye, followed by hysterics.

  • Fuck almost. This scene makes me tear up almost every time. We all had someone like young Faye inside once. And that person is long gone.

    scene is simply Heartbreaking to me.

  • Baaaaaaaawwwww ;~;

  • so nostalgic

  • Words can't descbribe the nostalgia this scene gives me

  • dont lose! me! dont lose me! In the end she did. so sad

  • @PsychoJosh The reason she acts like that is because people exploited her and abandon her,thus she hides her real emotions with a stuff exterior. I dated a few girls like that.

  • @PsychoJosh Obviously the existentialist alienation of the self went way over your head.

  • Absolutely heartbreaking.

  • @Orochimarusbitch ...twisted into this desperate, shameless person. She uses what she can (looks, guns, and a little bit of luck) to get by. She's not like Julia, smart, dangerous, and beautiful... she's not like Edward, carefree and innocent, with mad computer skills... She's just Faye, a hard luck woman. So, yeah, I love her character and all her flaws and all her sass.

  • For the record, I am a woman, but I've always found Faye's character really enjoyable. I don't know why people see her as one-dimensional. She couldn't remember her past self, so she did the best she could to get by. From what I've seen, the Bebop verse is a pretty tough place to live in. She plays a great game, but she's got insecurities. She tries not to get caught up in caring, but she ends up caring anyways. This part really makes me sad because she was so loving and so pure, and she was...
