Amy Shuard (soprano) (1924-1975)
From 1950 to 1970, she was the most sought-after soprano in England. She sang a wide variety of roles from the lyrical to dramamtic repertoire. She sang until her untimely death at the age of 50. Her recorded legacy is very small.
