Movie showing you how to generate that typical french house sound using FL Studio. For this example I'm recreating the hook from Music Sounds Better With You - a classic imo.

  • Did you speed up the sample? just heard the original song and it's slower. If so, did you have to affect the pitch too?

  • @adiosdaniel I might have...just did this song by ear..didnt listen to the original. Sometimes I speed up sometimes i dont, sometimes i keep pitch and sometimes pitch up a few semitones

  • before u made the bass line did u already know the key? thats my problem using samples i never know wht notes are being played

  • @WibbisaurusRex I have no clue about the key. I just play along until it sounds right. :)

  • How did you make the house beat? Well, I know how, but I was wondering if you had a video showing it for reference, cuz' it sounds really good.

And also, how'd you splice the Chaka Khan melody or whatever that is, and put it in the song?

  • @BendyStraw52 You can do everything you mention within FL studio. Sorry no tut on the beat...but its a basic 4/4 beat innit :)

  • Sweet, wouldn't have thought of using a filter like that on the sample. Volcano looks sick. Great job!
