christians always snub others religions and practices.. the so-called 'heathens' have more of a chance at reaching 'heaven' than christians.. they live clean, simple and moral lifestyles unlike the millions of christian hypocrites in today's society. i'd rather be like them.

Cut it short dude. Those are not really educated people who has no idea of what culture is. If it is drinking a glass of wine and wearing some peace of cloath then I am better off with Nagas. They are such a holy people who cares only for god. Else where you commented that they beg. True. But it is mainly for simple living and not for some material comforts. In Hinduism it is OK to do so as long as you carry spirituality. St.Francis did.Simple living hihg thinking

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Put on your ashes and ochre robes, Baby,
Let's go begging tonight.
Put on your ashes and ochre robes, Baby,
Ever'thang gonna be a'right.
We gonna swim in the Ganges, Ho'ney,
Gonna purge our souls tonight.
thanks for the reply, but it really does not make much sense, drinking a glass of wine and wearing a piece of cloth does not get one to heaven, neither does wearing ashes and bathing in a river

Tourism perspective is very limited. Why Westerns love to explain things based on their culture?
I think you missed the whole meaning of the Kumbha Mela.

I don't think so, I have read tons of articles about the Khumba Mela and I know all about it. Just because i present it through a Christian perspective does not mean that I don't know what it means from a Hindu perspective
