OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) -- Folks in Owen County, Kentucky remain without water three days after a series of water lines failed. The shortage affects customers of Kentucky American Water Company. A boil water advisory remains in effect. Emergency officials are working to provide each household with two gallons of drinking water, tanker trucks are positioned at the fairgrounds and Monterey Fire House to fill containers for sanitary purposes. Residents can also fill tanks or water containers for free at the new water plant located at the Owen Franklin county line for sanitary or livestock purposes. Kentucky American Water is constructing a pipeline from another plant to bring in extra water.
