Ussually a neurophysiology study does no harm to the patient. It is absoulutely risk free. The only possible risk would be in doing a brachial plexus stimulation in patients with cardiac pace makers.
I have no first hand idea about a LEP.
No studies have suggested that NMR could damage peripheral nerves so far.
Have you heard about LEP? Laser Evoked Potentials? Are these tests useful to see if one's have small fiber neuropathies? Is there any risk on doing them? On damage the nerves for instances?
By the way, do you think that the magnetic fields of an MRI could damage your peripherical nerves?

"A stimuli"? I think he means "a stimulus"! I hate grammatically ignorant lecturers!

yes, evoked potential are useful to see if there is a damage at optical nervous and udutive nervous......sometimes are better than NMR!!

does this exam allows to see if there a disfunction in the nervous system that provoques idiopathic Chronic Neuropathic pain?
Thank you
