You all know her within Sesame Street circles as a narrator on the Elmo's World segments where she talks about the story of the segment's subjects. One of these is "Shoes" ("Before there were shoes, people had to walk barefoot. They tried leaves and then banana peels.")

I always felt that Andrea martin was an unofficial cast member of Sesame Street. Like how Steve Martin was an unofficial cast member of Saturday night Live.
