@NotJoe101 He didn't want to ban all guns only hand guns. Listen to the song he is talking specifically about the 38 special which at the time was known for backfiring alot. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman. He was a hunter and a fisherman.

@777notw Yankee living in the south 20 yrs-the Rebel flag didnt mean to Ronnie what it means to most southerns now days.To Ronnie & EARLY Skynyrd it was a southern pride symbol,not hate.Ronnie VanZandt had no hate in is heart - example he wanted to ban ALL Guns & if thats not enough listen & understand the music.Not only is he missed for his music but for how he could have maybe changed the way we think about each other.Don`t disrespect the man or the original version of the band with politics.
