Around here if u want to be in a cab all the time everyday, then u have to be an excavator or motorgrader operator.

Thats because the employers in the U.S are cheap asses and have no care or concern for the comfort of their operators.And it does effect production.That may also be why there is a big shortage of good operators in this area.

That's a weird thing about cabs. With backhoes for example: up here in Canuckistan, you almost never see a backhoe with an open cab, and only a few mini excavators. But as soon as you get across the line into the USA, suddenly you see open cabs on a LOT of the backhoes. Same climate area though. Me - I like my enclosed cab!
