It is quite strange that some one try to compare this two recorders. this is complete different levels of equipment. but i must say h4 had better stereo.

now I can see the differences betwen both zoom... H4N is realy better then H1 :(

hi again ;] Can anyone tell me, how does H1 work when it's used with high gain settings, like recording guitar and vocals from distance of 2-3 meters? Is there a lot of hum?

It's realy owkward, your Faith Guitar sounded almost identical on any of this devices. I'll probably go into H1
